In simple terms RSS is a technology that allows users to subscribe to blogs, podcasts, websites and video blogs/vlogs. The RSS feed will automatically download the desired content directly to the users desktop.
RSS will sometimes be referred to as a feed. Feeds or RSS are a great way for websites, blogs, vlogs and podcasters to distribute there content to a large number of people all at one time. When the website, blog or podcasters update and publish new information anyone who has subscribed to their RSS feed will automatically be notified of the update.
